How We Met

The story goes that, once upon a time, (well, December 12, 2002) while standing on the F train during one of those unscheduled midtown stops in the tunnel, Peter nodded hello to the gorgeous woman he was pressed up to, in the crush. She nodded back, and he, (well, OK, it was me),made some transparent opening gambit about what a pain all the stops were... and we started talking. I told her I was a dance instructor, and she asked if I'd like to donate lessons to her next Non-Profit Event. We exchanged cards, and I, wiley boy that I am, called up later that day to offer a free dance lesson for her, in addition to the Lessons donation. We met for the lesson that night, then went out for drinks and a late dinner, we had coffee the next day, then met for a third date in as many days.... One thing led to another, and ... well, a few donated dance lesson packages, and a few of her Events later, I proposed!
And she said ....
